Little 500 Races

For the past 3 or 4 years I've photographed the men's and women's Little 500 bike races. I began a big fan of the event right out of the gate. I enjoyed shooting this year in black and white. I was intrigued by how stripping away the jersey colors brought the riders somehow closer together. It seemed more about the riders' effort and athleticism than it did the team associations.

Lizzie & Luke - Indianapolis

Lizzie and Luke are friends of mine. I like photographing friends. I'm a little bummed that they moved to San Francisco (although it's nice to know I now have someone with whom I can stay when I go there...hint, hint).  These two are the real deal...and so is their love for each other.  I couldn't be more happy for them.
