Commercial Project in Tampa

In addition to photographing couples on their wedding day I also work on various commercial projects and other sessions. I recently returned from Tampa, Florida where I shot some marketing images for a national association of health industry professionals. They wanted some images that showcased the experience of attending one of their conventions. The highlight for me was getting to photograph the keynote speakers at the event...astronaut Jim Lovell and NASA flight director Gene Kranz! What a thrill!

{babies} Blake and Hailey

Photographing babies is about patience. You set the stage....and wait. And wait. Then wait some more. I'm definitely not the one in control here. But you have to be ready. Because when you least expect it...the moment is here...and you'd better shoot!!

Actually, I learn a lot about myself when I photograph small babies and children. You really do have to be in the moment. Work with what you're given. Adjust. Relax. (they smell fear!) Be flexible. All the things that are important to being any kind of photographer.
