There is something magical that happens to the light at this time of year.  As the sun drops further to the south, the light has an extra "pop" which is so much fun to exploit as a photographer. I think the blue color palette Kristin and Eric chose for their family session really compliments the warmer tones of the fall. I'm also rather fond of these guys. I photographed Kristin and Eric's wedding, so it's nice to watch their family grow!!!

A Night at the Bishop

It's been a little while since I've posted personal work. As part of my exploration of film photography, I always enjoy shooting Kodak TriX. When my friend and fellow photographer, Mike Lee, texted me last month that his band was playing at the Bishop in Bloomington, I jumped at the chance to spend an evening shooting a band scene. I had a blast listening to The Double Digits, Busman's Holiday, Nate Gibson, and Jerry Miller. Great job, guys!!!

Marisa & Ben - Champaign

Love brings the world together. And no where was this more evident that at Marisa and Ben's wedding in Urbana, Illinois. Their wedding photography was a blend of Vietnamese and Catholic tradition. Honoring and celebrating family was what this day was all about. I also enjoyed exploring the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana as the backdrop for their wedding photography.
