An Intimate Performance by Steve Poltz

I love music. In fact, music is what I "did" before I was a photographer. Audio engineering, production, live television....you name it. When a friend from church invited my wife and I to hear Steve Poltz play in his garage (my friend's, not Steve's)....I thought it would be a great opportunity to experience a singer/songwriter I've not heard before.

Boy, was I impressed. Steve is a fantastic storyteller and songwriter. His music was infused with wit, humor, craft, and just darned-good guitar pickin'. We thoroughly enjoyed it. It was also a perfect opportunity to snap off some photographs since my friend's barn was so cool. Brian does auto restoration and also designed a very cool space to do the work. It was a perfect location to hear Steve. Before the show, Steve and I had a chance to chat a bit and discovered that we knew and worked with many of the same musicians, producers and engineers. In fact, Steve cut one of his first records at the very same recording studio at which I worked in Hollywood.
